Secret Vegan Cheese Recipe
You’ve supported local and unlocked the vegan mozzarella of your dreams!
The Recipe: Vegan Mozzarella Ball
- 3 oz firm tofu
- 2 tbsp rice flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Food Processor or Blender
- Plastic wrap or spherical mold
- Steamer or steaming attachment
- Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend until the mixture is smooth.
- Scoop the mixture onto some plastic wrap and wrap it to form a ball. Alternatively, spray a spherical mold with cooking spray and scoop the mixture into that.
- Steam your mozzarella for 15-20 minutes, then let the cheese cool down and firm up.
- Slice up and enjoy!
If you can’t have soy, try this recipe with ½ cup pre-soaked cashews or sunflower seeds.
