Vegan Mozzarella Ball

Equipment

  • Food Processor or Blender
  • Plastic wrap or spherical mold
  •  Steamer or steaming attachment

Ingredients

  • 3 oz firm tofu
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp onion powder

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend until the mixture is smooth.
  • Scoop the mixture onto some plastic wrap and wrap it to form a ball. Alternatively, spray a spherical mold with cooking spray and scoop the mixture into that.
  • Steam your mozzarella for 15-20 minutes, then let the cheese cool down and firm up.
  • Slice up and enjoy!

Notes

If you can’t have soy, try this recipe with ½ cup pre-soaked cashews or sunflower seeds.
