Equipment

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup frozen fruit I used mango, strawberry, and blueberries for 3 different flavors
  • cup coconut water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon or lime juice
  • ¼ tsp salt preferably sea salt or Himalayan pink salt

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine the frozen fruit, coconut water, water, maple syrup, citrus juice, and salt.
  • Blend until smooth, then strain through a fine mesh sieve if you want a smoother texture. Pour into a glass or reusable bottle and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Notes

  • Use watermelon instead of frozen fruit for a refreshing summer version. Really, you can use a variety of frozen fruit with high water content (by that I mean, no peach or banana).
  • Swap maple syrup for date syrup or agave, or skip it altogether.
  • No coconut water? Use extra water and a pinch more salt and citrus juice.
  • Add mint leaves or fresh ginger before blending for a herbal twist.
  • Freeze in ice cube trays for cute hydration cubes.
