Ingredients

  • 4 slices Sourdough bread (I used sprouted grain sourdough from my local bakery)
  • The chickpea juice (aquafaba) from one can of chickpeas
  • ½ cup Plant milk
  • 1 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Turmeric

Instructions

  • Drain the liquid from the chickpeas into a large bowl. Keep the chickpeas in a sealed container for later.
  • Whisk the aquafaba vigorously for approximately 20 seconds until it is foamy. Then add the plant milk, maple syrup, cinnamon and turmeric and stir until combined.
  • Drench the slices of sourdough in the liquid, for approximately 30 seconds on each side. Pan fry just as you would regular French toast.
  • Serve with maple syrup and your favorite berries as desired!.
