How to Make This Recipe

First, we need to melt some chocolate and try not to eat it all in the process. You can melt your chocolate chips using a double boiler method or do it in your microwave until the mixture is consistently smooth. 

Then, add the melted chocolate, pureed pumpkin and arrowroot powder into a food processor. Blend until you have a beautiful, smooth and aromatic chocolate mixture.

Line a cake pan or use a spring pan. Carefully transfer the fudge mix into a cake pan of your choice, and set in the fridge for at least 3 1/2 hours.

If you’re in a mood to garnish your magic fudge cake, dust it with some cocoa powder and add some fresh berries on top before slicing. Enjoy immediately!

  • Store your magic fudge in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 4 days. 
  • If you’re using your microwave to melt the chocolate chips, be sure to do it in short bursts on medium power. Stir your chocolate with a non-stick spatula between each time you heat it in the microwave.
  • These three ingredients make a very basic but very delicious vegan dessert. But that doesn’t mean you couldn’t get creative with it! Feel free to stir in some crushed cookie chunks, cocoa nibs, freeze dried raspberries, or crushed nuts into your fudge for even more magic!

  • cups pumpkin puree
  • ¼ cup arrowroot powder, or cornstarch
  • cocoa powder, optional, for dusting
