Yes, creamy lemonade is a thing! It is a refreshing beverage that combines the tangy flavor of traditional lemonade with a creamy texture. The creaminess can be achieved by adding ingredients like sweetened condensed milk or heavy cream.
Of course, in this variation of the recipe, we will be using vegan condensed milk. This variation of lemonade is popular in various cultures and is particularly relevant as a cool, sweet treat during the summer months.
A slushie is a type of beverage made from flavored liquid that is partially frozen, resulting in a drink with a slush-like consistency. In a commercial setting, this semi-frozen state is maintained by a special machine. However, we will simply blend our lemonade ingredients with a hefty portion of ice.
If that sounds complicated, don’t worry. The ingredient list is actually very short, and it only takes a few minutes to make this iced creamy lemonade!

Vegan Condensed Milk
A key ingredient in this recipe is sweetened condensed milk. Vegan alternatives usually feature coconut milk, although I have also seen oat-based condensed milk.
If your local stores don’t have it readily available (or if it’s quite expensive), you can actually make some yourself:
- 1 can (13.5 oz) of full-fat coconut milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar or coconut sugar
Add the ingredients to a non-stick pan and cook over medium heat until the sugar completely dissolves. Reduce the heat and allow the mixture to simmer for about 45-60 minutes until it reduces by about half. The mixture should thicken and become creamy.
Be sure to stir it regularly. Then, pour it into a heat-resistant jar and let it cool completely.
How to Make This Recipe
It doesn’t get any easier than this. Add all the ingredients to a powerful blender and blitz until smooth.
Serve immediately! This recipe yields two generous glasses of iced creamy lemonade.
