A delicious detoxifying beet juice known for its digestion and anti-inflammatory properties. I like to call it the ABC juice, because it’s super simple!

Jokes aside, the ABC stands for:

  • Apples. An excellent addition to any juice thanks to its abundance and sweet flavor. Apples are rich in polyphenols, which are antioxidants that may help protect against heart disease, cancer, and other chronic illnesses. They are also a good source of vitamin C, which is essential for immune function and skin health.
  • Beets. The vegetable responsible to the vibrant hue of this ABC juice, beet has a mildly sweet and earthy flavor. Beets are high in nitrates, which can help improve athletic performance and lower blood pressure.
  • Carrots. Another vibrant root vegetable that is often used in juicing. Carrots are high in vitamin A, which is important for eye health and immune function. They are also a good source of vitamin K1, which is essential for blood clotting and bone health.

  • I am a big advocate for using what you have in your kitchen. In case you didn’t know, this delicious ABC juice can be made using a blender and cheesecloth if you don’t have a juicer!
  • Not sure how long this juice will last? Store it in the fridge in a sealed jug for up to 3 days.
  • If you do have a juicer, you don’t have to add water. Simply put all of your ingredients through the juicer and enjoy!
  • In fact, you can adjust the amount of water you use in this recipe to taste. If you like your juice quite sweet, you may add a little less water, for instance.

To Juice or Not to Juice?

Just so we’re clear, I am not encouraging you to live off juice alone. However, drinking fresh homemade juice can offer several benefits, including:

  • Nutrient intake. Drinking juice allows you to consume a large amount of nutrients in a single serving. Freshly squeezed juice contains a high concentration of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, which can boost your overall health and immunity.
  • Easy calories. If you struggle to eat enough calories in a day, drinking a glass of juice is much easier and less time-consuming than eating the components separately.
  • Digestion. Fresh juices are easily digestible, and the nutrients are quickly absorbed by your body. This can help to support your digestive system and may be beneficial for individuals with digestive issues.
  • Hydration. Juicing can help you stay hydrated and support healthy fluid balance in the body, which is important for many bodily functions.
  • Variety. Juicing allows you to consume a variety of fruits and vegetables that you may not typically eat in your regular diet. In a way, this juice counts as a Sneaky Veggies recipe!
